Wide participation at the event hold on January 23 which led to a day full of comparisons and debates aiming at supporting the application of Rome to the Olympics Games of 2020.
It was particularly interesting the speech of architect Mario Kaiser (charged of the matters related to infrastructures of London 2012 Olimpic Park project) who described the strategies used in order to involve environmental sustainability and urban regeneration resources.
Kaiser has also explained the importance to exploit the Olympic structures at the end of the event, pointing up the importance of assuring a strong of flexibility so to ensure their enhancement over time.
From London to Rome: Professor Livio De Santoli (Responsible of Energy for University “La Sapienza”) has underlined the keywords of this challenge: no CO2, no waste, biodiversity enhancement and an appropriate availment of materials and water.
All actions should be included in a logic of distributed energy generation.
These targets seem to be very ambitious, but they may be realized.
