 THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION APPROVES TWO PROJECTS SUBMITTED BY RISORSE PER ROMA ON BEHALF OF ROMA CAPITALE

The European Commission has approved the co-financing of two projects submitted by Risorse per Roma on behalf of Roma Capitale and in partnership with other Italian and European cities (Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Manchester and Hamburg): GREENITNET – leading project: the metropolitan region of Riga, Latvia The Project aims to reduce fuel consumption, energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions by supporting clean and renewable energies. The context in which GREENITNET moves is that of information and communication technologies for sustainable transport and sustainable construction. Roma Capitale with the technical support of Risorse per Roma will play the coordinating role for the matter "Communication and spread of the whole project results." The case study of Rome is the Millennium Project "Pedestrianization of Medicean Trident " in which will be integrated a study aimed at obtaining - for a historic building Trident to be identified within the Medicean Trident, of the LEED certification - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – the most influential and widespread building environmental sustainability assessment system. The context in which CLUE moves is the promotion of a GREEN URBAN DISTRICT. The case study of Rome is the Millennium project "Urban Redevelopment of Tor Bella Monaca”, through the development of requirements for efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
